The Massachusetts Gun Transaction Portal is the form furnished by the Commissioner of the Department of Criminal Justice Information Services (DCJIS) for reporting firearms transfers and acquisitions pursuant to G. L. c. 140, §§128A and 128B. This application replaces the Firearms Transaction Record (Form FA-10).

Use of this application shall conform to the provisions of G. L. c. 140, §§128A and 128B. A violation of G. L. c. 140, §§128A or 128B is a criminal offense.

Submission of a transaction or acquisition record is not an affirmation by DCJIS or the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that the transaction or acquisition meets the provisions of G. L. c. 140, §§128A and 128B or any other applicable state or federal law. Any record submitted through Massachusetts Gun Transaction Portal may be accessed and reviewed by DCJIS and law enforcement agencies to ensure that all statutory requirements are being met.

No part of this application or any information contained herein may be reproduced, republished, redistributed or transmitted, in whole or in part, in any form or by any means, electronic or mechanical, by any information storage or retrieval system without the express written permission from the Commissioner of DCJIS.
