Weapon Information

This information applies to licensing tasks which can be performed by Gun Dealers.

To access this screen, select a record whose sales status is "Sale In Draft, and click the Weapon Info link in the left-side navigation (show me).

Directions:

1. Fill in the Weapon Information screen. If the make of the gun is not listed in the Make drop-down list, do not select any value from the list. Instead, enter the make in the field to the right of the drop-down list.

2. Click Save and Continue.

Results:

MIRCS Massachusetts Instant Record Check System, the computer application for which this user guide is written will save the information you entered and display the NICS National Instant Check System Request Information screen.

Next Steps:

Complete the NICS Request screen.
