Fingerprint verification will fail if the finger being used is not the correct finger. Pressing too hard against the PID Positive Identification Device, the device used to capture a single fingerprint for identification purposes, a dirty finger, or dirty PID can also affect the quality of the image captured. If your verification is unsuccessful, check that none of the above issues were responsible, and attempt the capture again.

MIRCS Massachusetts Instant Record Check System, the computer application for which this user guide is written will display the ID Verification screen.
